1271 13Install the thrust bearing on the forward gear1261 14Place the bearing housing on the forward gearra1l 15Install 0.030 inof shims and the thrust bearing in the
flange, and install on the forward gear
132 16Install set screws and torque to 144-168 inIbs(16-19
Nm)Use no thread sealant
1331 17Anchor dial indicator gauge to flat, level surface1331 18Position the gear assembly so the indicator needle makes
contact with the flange on the housingThe indicator needle must be parallel with the side of the gear housing and perpendicular to the table surfaceZero the dial indicator
