23 30Apply OMC Needle Bearing Assembly Grease to the small thrust washer Place the small thrust washer in recess of reverse gearSlide the reverse gear onto the propeller shaft until it engages the pinion1241 31Carefully apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the O-ring flange and aft support flange of the bearing housingDo not allow sealer to contact either forward thrust surface or bearings in the housingInstall the housing in the gearcase with screw holes in vertical position and anode facing downPress the bearing housing into the gearcase and tap the housing with soft face mallet to seat the O-ring1251 32Install the two retainers, washers, and screwsApply OMC Ultra Lock-271 to threads of the two retainer screwsInstall the screws and torque them to 20-24 ftIbs(27-33 Nm) E u
