1Remove the rectifierregulator cover1112Disconnect the timing sensor plugAttach the OMC Ignition Analyzer from OMC Ignition Test Kit, PIN 434017, to the timing sensor3Move the analyzer selector switch to position "A"4Connect the analyzer to 12-volt source
] 5Loosen the timer base detent screw6Move both the inside and outside detent tabs completely forward on the detent platef517Be sure the timer base lever is against stop on the flywheel f618Rotate the crankshaft in clockwise direction until the timing pointer aligns with the idle timing listed in chartIdle Timing
