1Inspect bushing in the timer base and inspect powerhead timer base bossBoth surfaces must be free of dirt, metal chips, and scratchesf512Align adapter with threaded holes in powerheadSlotted area of adapter must face starboard sidef413Install adapter mounting screwsTorque screws to 48-60 inIbs(5,5-7 Nm)f614Apply OMC Moly Lube grease around powerhead boss and timer base bushingand into retainer groove 05Lubricate timer base retainer with outboard lubricant1ol6Install retainer in timer base groove with retainer tabs positioned to right of leverSqueeze tabs and insert timer base into adapter
