i twist and remove spark plug leads
1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing,

2Place the shift lever into FORWARD gear[';1 3Lubricate the driveshaft splines with OMC Moly LubeDo

L!J not coat the top surface of the driveshaft as lubricant here may
prevent seating of the driveshaft in the crankshaft16600

4Lightly apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to lower outside diameter of the water tubeSlide the gearcase into position on the exhaust housing being careful to guide the water tube into the water pump grommetRotate the flywheel clockwise to align cran kshaft splines with driveshaftr] 5Apply OMC Nut Lock to threads of the gearcase and
