Motor Speed TestAll Models
INotel For this test, leave the battery cables connected and submerge the motor in waterA propeller must be in place to properly load the motor1Connect to 50 amp ammeter between the electric outboard RED cable and battery positive (+) terminal2 If equipped, set the 1224 switch to 24 3Turn the speed control switch slowly through all speedsNote the ammeter reading at each speed The current draw should be different at each speed setting4If the electric outboard does not operate at each speed setting or if the current draw is not different at each speed setting, note the exact symptoms Use these symptoms and the Trouble Check Charts on Pages 2-6 and 2-7 to evaluate operational problems and identify damaged components
