1Clean the threaded area of the motor tube using OMC Cleaning SolventrJl 2Install motor tube seal into adapterApply RTV adhesive sealant to top of seal3Spray OMC All-Purpose Marine Cleaner on the motor tube leads to provide lubrication4Insert the leads into the motor tube1sl 5Apply Locquic Primer then OMC Ultra Lock to the threads of the motor tube1!1 6Tighten adapter on motor tubeAlign adapter set screw hole with existing dent in motor ote tu be to maintain proper motor aI'Ignment r,Q1 7Apply OMC Screw Lockto set screw and installTighten set screw to 30-40 inIbs(3,4-4,5 Nm)8Verify motor offset usi ng the procedu re on Page 4-109Install motor as follows: When soldering is required, use rosin core solderDo not use an acid core solder Install new O-ring in groove of motorPlace spacer over leads of motor Slide heat shrink tubes motor10989
