Negative Circuit Continuity TestFoot Control Models To avoid damaging components or troubleshooting equipment, disconnect the battery cables before proceeding 1Use continuity light or ohmmeter calibrated on high ohms scale to test continuity2Connect one meter lead to electric outboard BLACK batterycable Leave this meter lead connected for all the following tests 170 Connect second meter lead to BLACK 14 ga lead at foot pedal terminal strip The meter must show continuity If meter shows no continuity, repair or replace battery cables
