avoid damaging components or troubleshooting equipment, disconnect the battery cables before proceeding
1411 1Remove the steering housing cover2Turn the speed control switch in the foot pedal to the "OFF" position3Use an ohmmeter calibrated on low ohms scale to test the condition of the resistor assembly and motor tube wiring
1421 4Connect the ohmmeter between the RED 14 gao and
GREEN 16 gao leads The meter must show 0.2 .03 ohm
Connect the ohmmeter between the GREEN 16 gao and GREENWH ITE 16 gao leads The meter must show .4 .04 ohm
6Refer to Resistor AssemblyAll Models, Page 2-17, if your test resu Its va rysteering housing or tube and each terminal strip wire location The meter must show no continuity If the meter shows continuity, inspect the motor leads, adapter assembly and motor tube wiring for grounded condition
