Replacement of RectifierRegulator 1Disconnect the battery cables at the battery2Remove the rectifierregulator yellow, yellowgray, gray, and purple leads from the terminal board3Removethe rectifierregulator red lead from the starter solenoid4Remove the flywheel and stator from the powerhead as described in Section 35Remove the six screws retaining the rectifierregulator to the powerhead6To install, apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to new gasket7Place the gasket and the rectifierregulator on the powerheadApply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to threads of the six retaining screwsInstall and tighten the screws to torque of 60-84 in Ibs(7-9 Nm)8Install the stator and the flywheel as described in Section 39Connect the rectifierregulator red lead to the battery side of the starter solenoid10Connect the remaining rectifierregulator leads to H.d terminal board following the schematic decal11Reconnect the battery cables
