7Disconnect the 6-pin Amphenol connector between the stator and power packrJl 8Calibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleAlternately, attach meter leads between terminals "E", "F", and clean engine ground Meter must show high reading1!1 9Attach meter leads to terminals "E" and "F" If meter shows 96 10 ohms, replace power pack If your test results vary, replace statorINotel Do not run engine with power coil leads disconnected!

If QuikStart electronic starting remains on constantly when engine is operated above 1100 RPM, replace the power packIf QuikStart electronic starting disregards time and engine temperature and remains on constantly when engine is operated below 1100 RPM: 1Check for trace amounts of battery voltage on power pack yellowred lead indicating damaged starter solenoid2Check for damaged starboard temperature switchRefer to Temperature Switch Test, Section 43Check for open power pack whiteblack lead or damaged connectors4Check engine temperature for overcooling conditionRefer to Engine Temperature Check, Section 45Replace power pack
