6 STEPCHARGE COIL TESTS
Ground Test
1Disconnect 2-pin Amphenol connector between the stator and power pack2Set peak-reading voltmeter toPOS" and "500"f61 3Alternately, connect voltmeter between stator connector terminals "A", "8", and clean engine groundCrank engine and observe meter at each connection Any reading on either test indicates charge coil is grounded Locate and repair ground, or replace stator assembly4If no reading is indicated in Step 3, go to Output TestOutput Test 1Set peak-reading voltmeter to "POS" and "500"r:;J7 2Attach voltmeter black lead to stator connector terminal" A"Attach voltmeter red lead to terminal
