Stator Servicing Removal

i and remove all spark plug leads
To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist

1Remove the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Service Information Page 3-82Disconnect stator yellow and yellowgray leads at terminal board

3Remove stator retaining screws
Installation '3l 1Remove any varnish around retaining screw holes on both sides of statorThe stator must have metal to metal contact with the crankcase head and its retaining screws2Install the stator and route the leads3On and amp stators, apply OMC Locquic Primer, then OMC Nut Lock, to the retaining screw threadsf41 4On 35 amp stators, use only patch lock screws to retain the statorApply OMC Locquic Primer, then OMC Nut Lock, to retaining screw threads5Tighten all screws to torque of 120-144 inIbs(14-16 Nm)6Attach stator yellow and yellowgray leads to terminal boardCoat final connections with OMC Black Neoprene Dip7Refer to Flywheel Service Information for correct flywheel installation procedure8Route and connect charge coil leads
