Electric Starter Servicing, 2030 Removal
INotel Disconnect the battery cables at the battery[!] 1Disconnect all the leads from the starter solenoid
rv 2Remove the vertical throttle shaft clamp screws and clamp
3Loosen the solenoid clamp screws and remove the solenoid from the starter bracketAlso, remove the red lead from the starter motor
rv '2l 4Remove to the side andthe powerheadNote that the the screws washers retaining the starter t=I bracket of
ground lead attaches to the lower screw and has lock washerf31 5Remove the locknut and washer retaining the starter bracket to the front of the powerheadLift the starter bracket from the powerheadDisassembly
