1Remove the propeller or test wheel from the gearcaseInspect the condition of the propeller hubf61 2Drain the gearcase by removing first the oil level plugthen the oil fill drain plug CD3Remove the copper water tube from either the water pump or the exhaust housing f71 4Remove the four impeller housing screws with washers Slide the impeller housing and impeller up and off the driveshaftRemove the impeller drive pin Q)
181 Pry under the impeller plate to loosen itSlide the plate up and off the driveshaftScrape all gasket material from the plate, gearcase, and impeller housing 6Slide the driveshaft out of the gearcase7Remove the shift lever pivot pin and discard the O-ringr,Ql 8Remove the six screws attaching the lower gearcase to the upper gearcasef11l 9Using soft face mallet, tap the skeg on its sideRemove the lower gearcaseDiscard the rubber seal between the two gearcase halves10Remove the cradle 11Remove the propeller shaft assembly
