16Remove the forward gear roller bearing14 17Remove the shift rod bushing as follows: Position OMCShift Rod Bushing Remover PI 327693 under the shift rod bushing Thread the adapter of the Universal Slide Hammer PIN 391008 in the slide hammerPlace the adapter through the shift rod bushing and thread into the remover tool Remove the handle from the remover toolThen remove the bushing from the gearcase Once the bushing has been removed from the gearcase, examine the bushing for damageIf damaged, replace the bushing on reassemblyRemove and discard the O-ring from the bushingf151 18Use OMC Bearing and Seal Remover PI 391259 to remove the two driveshaft sealsInspect bearings for damage while in placeIf bearing is damaged, remove and discardIfthe bearing is removed for any reason, it must be replaced16 19Using OMC Bearing Remover PI 319880, drive the upper driveshaft bearing from the bearing sleeve with mallet1171 20Attach the OMC Narrow Two-Jaw Puller PI 391010 to the slide hammer and remove the bearing sleeve from the gearcaseDiscard the bearing"i8l 21Attach OMCWide Two-Jaw Puller PIN 391012 to the slide hammer and remove the forward bearing cup from the gearcase u 05 x
