Check the inner exhaust cover for pitting and flatnessIf pitting exists or the cover is warpeddiscard it and replace with new cover during reassembly
rv theRemove the three screws retaininga the crankcasethe seals 1head to powerheadUsing mallet and punch, drive
from the crankcase head Discard the O-ring and seals
t=I exhaust cover edge with rawhide malletRemove the inner
and outer exhaust covers; carefully separate the piecesTo simplify reassembly, layout the various screws and clamps in the order of their proper locationf31 3Remove the thermostat cover, spring, isolator, and thermostat4Remove the cylinder head screws
