Ignition Plate Servicing Removal
i twist and remove all spark plug leads

2If equipped, remove the manual starterSee Section 73Remove the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Servicing1,l 4Loosen the five screws attaching the ignition plate to the retainer plateLift the ignition plate from the powerheadf21 5Remove the four support plate screws Lift the retainer and support plate from the powerheadInstallation 1Place the retainer plate, then the support plate on the powerhead Align support plate with four screw holes in powerheadApply OMC Nut Lock to threads of the four support plate screws Install the screws and tighten them to torque of 48-60 in Ibs(5-7 Nm)2Apply OMC Moly Lube to the crankcase bossf41 3Lubricate the ignition plate bearing groove with OMC Moly Lube
