1You can manually raise the engine in both trim and tilt rangesOpen the manual release valvetur it slowly counterclockwise with screwdriver, about 31 turns, until it lightly contacts its retaining
2When the manual release valve is opened and the engine is manually raised, fluid flows from th top of the tilt cylinder to the manual release valveThe fluid may pass through the manual release val to the bottom of the tilt cylinder, or return to the Additional fluid may be drawn from bottom of the trim cylinders, which retract and draw additional fluid from the reservoir to the topsthe cylindersTo trim engine OUTOpen manual release valve as instructed abovePull gearcase out farther tha the desired final position (up into the tilt range, if necessary)Close the manual release valveManuall' push the gearcase in (or down) until it is supported by the trim systemOpen the manual release val only enough to let the engine trim in to desired positionTo tilt engine UPOpen manual release valve as instructed aboveTilt engine up and hold it wi1 suitable hoist or engage either its tilt support or trailering bracketDo not attempt to hold tt engine up by closing the manual release valveThe engine must be held manually, and lowered to tt trim range manually, after it has been tilted up manuallyThe motor can drop to the trim range if tt support is removedClose the manual release valve firmlyThe manual release valve must be closedenable the trimtilt unit to function
