Stator Resistance Check

battery cables before proceeding with this

1Remove the rectifierregulator cover2Separate the stator yellow and yellowgray leads' connectorf41 3Calibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect one meter lead to stator yellow lead and the other meter lead to stator yellowgray lead Ohmmeter should show 0.12 0.07 ohm Repair or replace stator if your results vary1s'l 4Test for grounded conditiondisconnect both meter leadsCalibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect one meter lead to clean engine ground and the other meter lead alternately to both stator leads Ohmmeter should show high reading If ohmmeter shows low reading, the stator or its leads are grounded and should be repaired or replaced
