EJ Set the thrust washer
12Place the thrust bearing on the back of the reverse gearon top the thrust bearing
19l 13Insert the gear, bearing, and washer assembly into the
bearing housingBe careful not to dislodge any of the loose needle bearingsr:JOl 14Align holes in the clutch dog with slot in the propeller shaftInstall the clutch dog on the shaft with "PROP END" facing rear of the shaft
fN=J The clutch dog is not symmetricalIf installed backward, it
will not fully engage forward gear and will immediately damage itself and the gearf11l 15Slide the clutch shaft onto the shift shaftAlign the hole in the shaft with the hole in the clutch dog, then install the pinr:J2l 16Slide new retaining spring Q) up and over the clutch shaft, and wrap it around the clutch dog pinPosition three coils over each end of the pin, making sure none of the coils overlap or are loose
