using OMC Seal Installer, PI 336311Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the metal casings of the seals before installingInstall the inner seal with lip facing toward the bearing housing, then the outer seal with lip facing away from the bearing housing

13Apply OMC Needle Bearing Assembly Grease to the thrust bearing Position bearing around shoulder on the propeller shaftr:;::;l 14Apply OMC Needle Bearing Assembly Grease to the thrust washer Place washer in recess of bearing housing133 15Coat bearing surfaces of propeller shaft with gearcase oilSlide the propeller housing on the propeller shaftUse caution when assembling the propeller shaft in the bearing housingThrust bearing must remain around shoulder on the propeller shaft34 16Lightly oil the threads of the forward gear assemblyCarefully start the threads into the housing, and screw it in by hand as far as possibleTighten the gear assembly to torque of 100 ftIbs(136 Nm) using OMC Spanner Wrench, PIN 43240017Attach the anode and tighten the screws to torque of 108-132 inIbs(12-15 Nm)
