r:Jal 21Remove the pinion bearing only if it needs to be replacedBefore attempting removal, take out the bearing retaining screw on the side of the gearcase, or you'll damage the gearcaseReplace the screw's O-ringIf the pinion bearing must be replaced, use OMC Bearing Remover and Installer, PIN 391257, and assemble it as follows:
Plate, PIN 391260 Rod, PIN 326582

Flange Nut, PIN 326586

Remover, PIN 326579

Make sure all loose needles are inside bearing case before pulling bearingThe needles will provide surface for the remover tool to pull against20 Use 138 inwrench to hold the remover in placeUsing 3f4 inwrench, turn the flange nut clockwise and draw the bearing up and out of the gearcase
