Install the grommet, flat side down
8Lightly coat the liner with oilWith counterclockwise rotation, install the impeller into the liner with slot for impeller cam facing out1sl 9Run thin bead of OMC Adhesive sealant in the seal groove, and install the special shaped O-ring seal CDInstallation
1Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to both sides of new impeller plate gasket Install the gasket and impeller plate

=J the driveshaftInstall the drive camThe sharp edge Q) of the cam is the leading edge during driveshaft rotation 3Slide the water pump assembly down the driveshaftAlign impeller housing with the gearcaseRotate the driveshaft to engage the impeller cam with the impeller, and slide water pump assembly down over impellerBe sure impeller cam does not fall out of position Verify that the impeller engages the impeller cam properlySerious powerhead damage will result if impeller cam is displaced4Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to threads of the four impeller screwsInstall the screws and tighten to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
