STEPPOWER PACK TEST
1Prevent accidental starting of engine while testing; twist and remove all spark plug leads
2Remove ignition cover3Twist and remove primary leads from ignition coilsf1l 4Connect No.1 ignition coil primary lead to Stevens Instrument load adapter NoPL-88 red leadConnect adapter black lead to clean engine ground

If Stevens Instrument NoPL-88 is not available, you can make an adapter using 10-ohm, 10-watt resistor, Radio Shack No271-132, or equivalent
5Set peak-reading voltmeter to "POS" and "500"6Connect meter red lead to adapter red lead and meter black lead to clean engine ground7Crank engine and observe meter: Meter must show 100 volts or higher8Repeat Steps thru for remaining ignition coil primary leads: If all primary leads have good output, test ignition coilsRefer to Ignition Coil Tests If one primary lead has no output, replace power pack9Remove load adapter and install ignition coil primary leadsObserve proper wire routing and ignition timingIII
