2 Ohmmeter TestShift Switch
Note All ohmmeter tests must be performed with the engine NOT runningf21 1Calibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect between power pack end of harness and clean engine ground Meter must show high reading If meter shows low reading, replace switch and harness2Activate switch by pushing down on shift cable pin Meter must show low reading If meter shows high reading, replace switch and harness3Connect ohmmeter between both switch harness 1-pin connectors and note the reading4Reverse the meter connections or press "polarity" button, and note the reading high reading in one direction and low reading in the other direction indicates the harness blocking diode is good If your test results vary, replace the switch and harness5Complete all circuits disconnected during this test
