5Inspect throttle body and throttle shaft Check body and shaft for excessive wear or side play Check throttle plates for looseness or incorrect seatingMaximum throttle plate clearance is 0.002 in(0,05 mm) Check throttle plate retaining screws for tightness [:;;1 6If necessary, remove the throttle body core plugs by driving small punch through the center of the plug and gently prying it outDo not drive punch more than 18 in(3,2 mm) into the plug, you might damage the calibration pocket
7Inspect the calibration pocket Check the core shoulder for nicks or distortion Check the pocket for damage or contamination Check calibration holes for contaminationAssembly 1If removed, install the fuel manifold in the throttle body and secure with three clamps and screws
