The hydraulic unit pivots on the lower thrust rod and the piston rod attaches to the underside of the engine swivel bracketAs the cylinder begins to extend, the first 15 of engine movement is considered the trim range because the swivel bracket is supported by the port and starboard stern bracketsAs the cylinder continues to extend, the remaining 50 of engine movement is considered the tilt rangeTotal engine movement is 65
The engine can be manually lowered from tilted position by opening the manual release valve minimum of three turnsThe slotted end of the manual release valve is accessible through the port stern bracket's thrust rod holeWhen this cycle is complete, the manual release valve must be closed and torqued to 45-55 inIbs(5-6 Nm) before normal operation can be resumedsending unit bracket
