Stator Resistance Check
Disconnect battery cables before proceeding with this check1Disconnect all stator leads from the terminal boardf2'l 2Calibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect the meter black lead to the stator yellowblue lead3Connect the meter red lead to the stator yellow lead Ohmmeter should show 0.55 0.05 ohm4Move the meter red lead to the stator yellowgray lead Ohmmeter should show 0.55 0.05 ohmrJl 5Check for grounded conditiondisconnect both meter leadsCalibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect one meter lead to clean engine ground6Connect the other meter lead to stator yellowblue lead Ohmmeter should show high reading If ohmmeter shows low readingstator is grounded7Repeat Step on stator yellow and yellowgray leads Results should be similar8If stator lead is grounded, repair it or replace the stator assembly
