2Install water pump assembly to jet housingRefer to Water Pump ServicingDo not use the impeller plate gasket on Jet modelApply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the impeller plate before installing3Coat driveshaft splines with OMC Moly LubeDo not coat top surface of driveshaft as lubricant here may prevent seating of driveshaft in crankshaftInstallation 1Slide jet housing into place, making sure driveshaft engages crankshaft, water tube enters water pump, and lower inner exhaust housing does not slip out of position rv 121 2Apply retaining screws and rear exhausttohousing screwOMC Gasket Sealing Compound threads of jet housing
Install two 516-16 112 inscrews in forward holes and two inscrews in rear holes Install adapter to jet housing screwTorque all screws to 10-12 ftIbs(14-16 Nm)
3Install key, bushing, shims, tab-washer, and nut on driveshaftBe sure shims are placed in original positionRefer to Impeller Clearance Adjustment
