1Remove the propeller and mounting hardwareInspect the propeller for spun hubf41 2Drain the gearcase by first removing the oil level plugthen the oil filldrain plug Inspect the lubricant for water which will give it milky appearance, or overheating, which will give the lubricant black color and burned odor3Remove the two anode retaining screws1sl 4the two propeller shaft bearing housing screws and retainersfJ1 5Using OMC Universal Puller Kit PIN 378103, two -20 inscrews and two washers, pull the propeller shaft bearing housing from the gearcaseDiscard the O-ringf81 6Separate the reverse gear thrust washer from the bearing housing
