1.J5l 7Using punch and mallet, drive out the steel pin that retains the inner handle in the steering handle f161 8
Remove the plastic inner handle from the metal outer handle by driving the outer handle off with mallet and punchInner handle is bonded to the outer handleAfter removihg, chip away remnants of inner handle
9Remove the throttle cable seal from the inner handle
10If necessary, remove clip to remove Touch-Trim lever and remove screws to remove cable holderInspection
1Remove protective sleeves and inspect the throttle cable and terminal wires for kinks and wearReplace if necessary2Inspect the steering handle components for wear, cracks, or damageReplace parts if necessaryPut protective sleeves on throttle cable and terminal wires
