1sl1gl 7Using OMC Cone, PI 318600, and Driver, PI 318599, install new wrist pin retaining rings in each wrist pin holeGap of the retaining ring faces down, away from notch in piston8Repeat Steps thru for each piston r,Ql 9Install piston rings on each pistonSpread each ring with ring expander just enough to slip it over the head of the piston and down into place10Coat pistons, rings, cylinders, and OMCRing Compressor, PIN 326592 (PI 330222 for oversize), with outboard lubricant1"'111 11 Center connecting rod in position and locate piston rings on their dowel pinsWith the word "UP" on dome of piston facing flywheel end of crankshaft, slide piston into its respective cylinder bore while guiding the connecting rod through the blockThe piston rings must be correctly located on their dowel pins or permanent powerhead damage will occur1121 12Lightly coat both sides of new cylinder head gasket with OMC Gasket Sealing CompoundInstall gasket with tab facing port side of cylinder block1131 13Install cylinder headFollowing sequence shown, torque all screws in stages to 216-240 inIbs(25-27 Nm)
