STEPCHARGE COIL TEST
'" To prevent accidental starting of engine while testing, twist and remove both spark plug leads
1Remove manual starter and flywheelRefer to Flywheel Servicing, Page 3-8
[!] 2Remove the two ignition module mounting screws19l 3Disconnect the brown and brownyellow lead bullet connectors
4Calibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect to charge coil brown and brownyellow leads Meter must show 900 100 ohms
5Check for grounded conditioncalibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scale and connect its black lead to clean engine groundAlternately connect ohmmeter red lead to charge coil brown and brownyellow leads Meter must show high reading
