Overheat InspectionAll Models If the engine has overheated, the following items should be checked for damage1Check the water cover and exhaust cover gaskets for leakage2Remove the cylinder headInspect the pistons, rings and cylinders for damage26070

3Inspect the cylinder block and cylinder head for warpagef21 4Check the water passages for damage or missing water deflectors (3Deluxe models)Water deflectors MUST be in correct position in the water passagesLoose deflectors may lodge in the water passages or allow leakage that would interfere with proper water circulation5Replace the cylinder head and gasket65-8 modelsinspect the thermostat for proper operation7Check all of the powerhead screws for proper torque
