2Install water pump assembly to jet housingRefer to Water Pump ServicingDo not use the impeller plate gasket on Jet modelApply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the impeller plate before installing 3Coat driveshaft splines with OMC Moly LubeDo not coat top surface of driveshaft as lubricant here may prevent seating of driveshaft in crankshaftInstallation
1Slide jet housing into place, making sure driveshaft engages crankshaft, water tube enters water pump, and lower inner exhaust housing does not slip out of position

OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to threads of jet housing retaining screws and rear exhaust housing screwInstall two 5116-16 V2 inscrews in forward holes and two 116-16 inscrews in rear holesInstall adapter to jet housing screwTorque all screws to 10-12 ftIbs(14-16 Nm)3Install key, bushing, shims, tab-washer, and nut on driveshaftBe sure shims are placed in original positionRefer to Impeller Clearance Adjustmentf31 4When proper clearance adjustment is achieved, torque impeller nut to 16-18 ftIbs(22-24 Nm)
