Disassembly
1Remove the bumpers from the upper mount retaining screwsRemove the screws, upper mountand ground lead from the bracket2Using OMC Retaining Ring Pliers No4, PI 307429, remove the retaining ring from the pivot shaft
3The pivot shaft is splined to the lower mount bracket
and secured with locking adhesive Heat the pivot shaft splined end with torchAllow the heated area to cool, then remove the lower mount bracket and the lower thrust washer from the pivot shaft4 Slide the pivot shaft and the upper thrust washer and off the swivel bracket
