Ignition Plate Servicing Removal
ill twist and remove all spark plug leads

2If equipped, remove the manual starterSee Section 73Remove the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Servicing1,l 4Loosen the five screws attaching the ignition plate to the L!J retainer plateLift the ignition plate from the powerhead5Remove the four support plate screws Lift the retainer and support plate from the powerhead
Installation
1Place the retainer plate, then the support plate on the powerheadAlign support plate with four screw holes in powerhead Apply OMC Nut Lock to threads of the four support plate screws Install and tighten the screws to torque of 48-60 inIbs(5-7 Nm)2Apply OMC Moly Lube to crankcase boss
