3If fuel pump does not meet these specifications, replace fuel pumpFuel Pump Replacement Push fuel hose off fuel fittingsdon't pullIf pushing won't separate hose and fitting, carefully cut the hose along its side and peel it back to avoid damaging the fittings
1Remove and discard tie straps from fuel pump hosesModels using hose clamps use OMC Hose Clamp Wrench PI 325043 to release clampsRemove the hoses from the fuel pump, observing hose locations for reassembly2Remove the fuel pump mounting screwsIf equipped with gasket, discard the gasket3Connect the hoses to the fuel pumpBe sure the hoses are fully engaged on the fuel pump nipplesSecure the fuel hose with new tie straps using OMC Tie Strap Installation Tool PI 3237164Remove all old adhesive from fuel pump mounting screwsApply OMC Locquic Primer and OMC Nut Lock to the threads of the screwsIf gasket is required between the fuel pump and the crankcase, install the gasketTighten the mounting screws to torque of 24-36 inIbs(2,8-4,4 Nm)5If removed, install the cover with lip of screen facing the fuel pumpTighten the outer screw to torque of 10-15 inIbs(1,1-1 ,7 Nm)Be sure the hose is fully engaged on the fuel cover nipple and secure the hose with new tie strap
