Throttle Plate Synchronization
1Loosen carburetor lever adjustment screw on upper carburetor2Rotate both throttle shafts slightly and allow them to snap shutf31 3Press up gently on the adjusting tab and tighten the adjustment screw 4Verify that both throttle shafts begin to rotate at exactly the same timeCam Pickup Point
1Move the throttle cam and cam follower toward each other
r.v 2Tighten the cam follower adjustment screw
when the and cam follower are just touching at the pickup markThe carburetor throttle plates must be closed The pickup mark must point at the center of the cam foHower!sl 3Push idle speed screw against its stop and verify that EJ spark lever cam follower is between alignment marks 1sl 4With the idle speed screw against its stop, verify that there is 0.010 in(0,25 mm) gap between the throttle cam and cam follower If not, adjust the throttle control rod socket to achieve 0.010 in(0,25 mm) gap INotellf adjustment is required, use gentle prying motion to remove the control rod sockets
