Indexing Flywheel Erratic Ignition thru 8 Internal ignition module problems could cause module to fire erratically or continuouslyTo troubleshoot this situation, you must determine that each cylinder is firing at the correct time and no more than once per revolution1Disconnect the spark plug leads and remove all spark plugs
LJ Slowly turn the flywheel by hand in clockwise direction until
r;J 2Place the eraser end of pencil in the No.1 spark plug hole
the greatest length of the pencil is outside the spark plug holeThis indicates the No.1 piston in near top dead centerr:;] r:;'] 3Make reference mark on the starter housingMake mark on the flywheel rim directly beneath the starting housing reference markLabel this mark "No.1"
