Remove six screws around the mating edge of port engine coverRemove three port screws and disengage port engine cover from port side Remove three starboard screws retaining the starboard engine cover and disengage it
3Disconnect fuel hose at carburetor4Remove two screws attaching the fuel tank to powerheadf51 5Remove shut-off valve from fuel tankLift and drain the fuel tankCleaning and Inspection 1Inspect fuel tank and shut-off valve for leakageIf leakage occurs, replace component2Remove and clean fuel filter from the shut-off valveReplace assembly if clogged3Inspect filler cap for wear, damage or leakage: replace if necessary4Flush tank with clear gasoline or solventInstallation 1Assemble the shut-off valve to fuel tank2Install fuel tank on powerheadTighten screws to torque of 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)3Connect the fuel hose to the carburetor with tie strap using OMC Tie Strap Installation Tool PIN 323716
