cUsing sharp screwdriver, pry the scraper out of the end capDiscard the scraperdPry the O-ring out of the end cap using flat toolOnce the scraper and O-ring have been removed from the end cap, the outside O-ring can be removedClean the cap thoroughlyDiscard the O-rings

eOil and install new -ring and scraper CD in the end cap The scraper is installed with the lip facing out and can easily be pressed in with your fingers or with large flat tool in the palm of your hand Oil and install new O-ring Q) on the outside of the end capgUsing wire brush, clean all Locktite material from the threads on the tilt rodUsing OMC Tilt Cylinder Seal Protector PI 326005, slide the end cap onto the rodhClean the threads on the rod with OMC Locquic PrimerSlide the piston onto the rodPlace new small O-ring over the threadsiClean any Locktite material from the threads on the inside of the nutSpray threads with OMC Locquic Primer and let dryApply small amount of OMC Nut Lock to the threads of the nutSlide the washer CD over the threads Install the nutTighten the nut to torque of 58-87 ftIbs(79-118 Nm)If for some reason the rod has been unscrewed from the eyelet, clean the threads of the rod at that end and the threads inside the eyelet with OMC Locquic PrimerApply small amount of OMC Nut Lock to the threads, thread the rod into the eyelet, and torque both the nut and the rod into the eyelet at the same time
