dPry the a-ring out of the end capDiscard the a-ringeRemove the outside a-ring Discard the a-ringClean the end cap thoroughlyfLubricate and install new a-ring and scraper in the end capThe scraper is installed with the lip facing outgLubricate and install new a-ring on the outside of the end caphUsing wire brush, clean all Loctite material from the threads on the tilt rodUsing OMC Tilt Cylinder Seal Protector PIN 326005slide the end cap onto the rodLubricate to ease installation
iPrime the threads on the rod with OMC Locquic PrimerSlide the piston assembly onto the rodPlace new rod -ring over the threadsjClean any Loctite material from the threads on the inside of the nutSpray threads of nut with OMC Locquic Primer and let dryApply the small amount of OMC Nut Lock to the threads of the nutSlide the washer over the threadsInstall the nutTighten the nut to torque of 58-87 ftIbs(79-118 Nm)k.lnspect both tilt rod bushings and replace if necessary
