15Move shift rod from side to side while pushing on the propeller shaft to ensure proper alignment of the bearing housing locator pin into the locator pin hole in the gearcaseGently tap the end of the propeller shaft with plastic or rawhide mallet to fully seat the bearing housing
Isst the shift rod cover screwsInstall the screwsTighten the 16Apply OMC Gasket Sealing Compound to the threads of
screws to torque of 60-84 in Ibs(7-9 Nm)
17Position the driveshaft thrust bearingwasher shim(s) (selected earlier) on the driveshaft
