Install the clutch dog on the shaft with grooved end of the clutch dog facing toward forward end of the shaft10Insert the shifter shaft into the propeller shaft, aligning holes in the shifter shaft, propeller shaft and clutch dog When holes are aligned, insert the clutch dog pin into the clutch dog and shifter shaftSecure pin with new retainer spring Inspect the spring for overlapping or loose coils 11Push the shifter detent down into the REVERSE position COA3592
