This ignition system incorporates the S.L.OWTM warning system, which gradually limits engine speed to approximately 2500 RPM when engine temperature exceeds 240 (114 C)To resume normal operation after the S.L.OWsystem has activated, allow the engine to cool to 20r (110 C) and turn it offThe S.L.OWsystem depends on input from the temperature switch tanblue leadOn electric start models, the S.L.OWsystem is isolated from other warning horn signals by blocking diode in the engine wiring harnessTemperature Switch 1Disconnect temperature switch tan lead2Install correct test propellerStart engine in test tank and run at 3500 RPM 3Attach the engine harness tan lead to clean engine ground Engine must slow to approximately 2500 RPM4Stop the engine If engine speed reduced in Step 3, test the temperature switchRefer to Temperature Switch Test, Section If engine speed did not reduce in Step 3, continue with this procedure5Separate 5-pin Amphenol connector between the stator assembly and power packr:jl 6Calibrate ohmmeter on appropriate scaleAlternately attach meter leads between terminal "e," "0," and clean engine ground Meter must show high reading7Attach ohmmeter leads to terminals "C" and "0 If meter shows 480 50 ohms, replace power pack If your test results vary, replace statorE
