Pulse Limiter Fitting The pulse limiter fitting for the VRO pulse hose has an integral check valveThe check valve is not serviced separately, but must be clean to allow normal pump operationA clogged check valve might restrict VRO fuel and oil supply, causing serious powerhead damage1Remove the pulse limiter fitting from the pulse hosef21 2Backflush the valve with mild aerosol solvent to remove any carbon depositsIf excessive carbon deposits are found, the engine must be checked for causes of backfiring before being returned to the customer Incorrect linkage adjustments Incorrect engine temperature Crankcase air leaks Carburetor problems Extended use of flushing attachment3Position the fitting in the pulse hose with black nipple facing the pump4Secure the pulse hose with ratchet clampsPump For functional tests of the System, this Sectionpump, refer to Testing Fuel
