!al 7Lightly coat the detent ball and spring with OMC Needle Bearing Assembly GreaseFirst, insert the spring in the housing, then the ballf41 8Insert the detent into the housing, and push it up next to the detent ballMake sure the ball is resting on the springInsert screwdriver into the opposite end of the detent passageSimultaneously, depress the ball while pushing in on the detent until it snaps into NEUTRAL position1sl 9Place the cradle on the shift shaftthen rest the shifter on the cradleSlide the shaft into the housing and insert the shifter tip into the detent's pocket10Install the pivot pin rJl 11Thoroughly grease the original 25 needles with OMC Needle Bearing Assembly Grease and place in the bearing case :;j
