If the VRO$ system is not used, follow this procedure:

the VRO oil reservoirIncorrect installation might restrict the oil supply to the engine and cause serious powerhead damage
Install protective cap, PIN 315391, over the oil inlet fitting to protect the VRO$ pumpSecure with clamp PIN 322654 Disconnect the VRO$ wiring harnessSeal engine harness Amphenol connector with cover, PIN 3356551Determine if the standard oil reservoir has sufficient capacity for the applicationIf it doesn't, consider 3.0 gallon reservoir with increased capacityRefer to Optional Equipment, this Section2Choose reservoir location that allows easy access and is within installation recommendationsThe reservoir has 10 ft(3 m) of oil hose and 16 ft(4,9 m) of wiring harness'3.I1e reservoir hose can be extended to maximum of 25 ft(7,6 m)If the installation is extended, the oil hose between the primer bulb and engine must be one continuous section with no fittings or connectionsDo not add on to the existing hoseThe wiring harness can be extended by soldering on additional lengths of 16 gauge wireProtect the connections with shrink tube and electrical tapeObserve original wiring polarity
